A project cash flow spreadsheet, with a Project column on each row.

This setup adds a Project column beside Client or supplier and How sure, with categories for client payments, materials, subcontractors, travel and equipment. Filter the Cash Flow sheet by project to see what a job has brought in and cost, against the dates expected.

  • Excel 2016 and later
  • Calculations checked in LibreOffice and Google Sheets
  1. Choose the columnsEdit the categories for money in and out. Add Client or supplier, Invoice, Tax in the amount, How sure or Project columns if you need them.
  2. Set the opening balanceDownload the workbook and, on the Settings sheet, type the balance in the account and the date it is for. Then add each expected amount.
  3. Update actual receipts and paymentsWhen money arrives or leaves, type the date and the real amount. The row turns grey and the balance today updates.

Questions

Are my builder entries sent to Due Form?

No. The builder uses them in your browser to make the workbook on your device.

Information is sent to Due Form when you submit a form or use another service described on the How it works page.

How the utilities work

Can I see the balance for one project only?

No. The Summary shows the whole account. To look at one job, use the filter arrows on the Project column of the Cash Flow sheet and read the rows.

Can I change the categories?

Yes. Edit them in the builder, one per line, for money in and out alike. They can also be changed on the Lists sheet afterwards.
