Habit Tracker · Free · No account

A monthly habit tracker for Excel, one sheet to print.

This setup builds a single month: the habits down the side, a column for each day, weekday letters above the dates and week totals beside them. You can print it and mark it by hand, or fill it in on screen.

  • Excel 2016 and later
  • Calculations checked in LibreOffice and Google Sheets
  1. Choose the monthsPick the first month, the year and how many months you want: 1, 3, 6 or 12. Each month gets its own dated sheet.
  2. List your habitsType one habit per line and name your categories. Choose 8, 12, 16 or 24 habit rows, and switch on cue, time of day and minimum version columns if useful.
  3. Download and mark daysOpen a month sheet and mark each day you did the habit. Frequency and target for each habit are set once on the Habits sheet.

What you get

What is different in this setup

People who would rather begin again each month than commit to a full year, or who want one page for the fridge.

  • One dated month sheet instead of twelve.
  • Prints landscape, one page wide, for ticking by hand.
  • Summary and Year pages still work out the month’s rates.

Sheets included (5)

  1. Start HereHow the workbook works, what each sheet is for and the settings used.
  2. HabitsEach habit once, with its category, frequency and target. Every month sheet lists these.
  3. 1 month pageOctober 2026: one row per habit, a column for each day.
  4. SummaryCompletions, rates and streaks across every month, the strongest and most-missed habits, and totals by weekday.
  5. ListsEdit the white lists to change dropdown choices. Shaded lists are fixed because formulas use those names.

Questions

Are my builder entries sent to Due Form?

No. The builder uses them in your browser to make the workbook on your device.

Information is sent to Due Form when you submit a form or use another service described on the How it works page.

How the utilities work

Can I build the next month later?

Yes. Come back to the builder, choose the next month as the first month with the same habits, and download a fresh workbook.

Will missed days be shaded?

Yes. Past days left blank for a daily habit are shaded pale red. You can switch that off in the builder if you prefer a plain sheet.
