An asset register template for Excel: serial numbers and warranties.
The asset register setup records a code, serial number, bought date and condition for each item, who it is assigned to and when its warranty ends. Categories include Computers, Phones, Furniture, Audio and video, Tools and Vehicles, and the Summary lists warranties ending soonest.

- Name categories and placesEnter your categories and locations, one per line, up to 25 of each. They become the Category and Location dropdowns, and the Summary totals by each.
- Choose the columnsSwitch on reorder level, unit cost, sale price, code, serial number and condition, warranty, last counted, photo or receipt, assigned to, or a Stock Movements sheet.
- Download and list itemsDownload the workbook and open the Inventory sheet. Type one item per row from row 6. The stock status and the Summary update automatically.

Questions
Are my builder entries sent to Due Form?
No. The builder uses them in your browser to make the workbook on your device.
Information is sent to Due Form when you submit a form or use another service described on the How it works page.
How soon is a warranty marked?
A warranty ending within 60 days is marked ◐ on its row and listed on the Summary. The 60 is a number on the Settings sheet, and you can set it from 0 to 730 days.
Can I record where something is?
Yes. Each item has a Location from your list, such as Office, Studio or On loan, and the Summary counts items and their value for each location.
